    Default best paper for printing decoupage

    Can you recommend paper for printing decoupage sheets and backing papers I tend just to use Tesco finest paper but liked the look of some irridescent coated paper on a recent C&C Rob addams CD show Is it any good? and can I buy it from anywhere else

    I use photo paper that I get from poundland for decoupage sheets. I use tescos finest for backing paper but I also love using pearlised papers for backing paper to although it does give the papers quite a different look as the colours are more subtle on pearlise or irradescent papers but I do like them. I haven't bought the irridecent fro C&C before though

    I do the same as you Pam. Tesco photopaper for the decoupage (only buy at half price and the offer seems to have finished this week) and 160gsm as backing papers.

    Irridescent is lovely. I like the MCS paper. It makes backing papers look like silk material.
    MCS were out of stock (cream/ivory) before Christmas...and are still!

    when you say photo paper is it the matt, not the gloss, thanks

    Well, it's a matter of choice but I think gloss gives decoupage a ceramic look. I rub the back with the bone tool (not telling you what I call it) or the back of a spoon.

    I tend yo use glossy but just a personal preference. I have mat photo paper too but prefer gloss most of the time

    Hello

    I use glossy or matt photo paper,

    They always have it in our local £1 shop

    Always get great prints with it
