Default On the subject of non-die cut...

...this is what I was doing for a large part of yesterday afternoon (reversed to you can see the fretwork I ended up with):

It was one of those images that you think looks relatively easy to cut out, till you spot all the bits inbetween...And of course, it being decoupage, you end up cutting almost all the same bits out over & over again - bliddy good job I like a bit of knife-work. Just a shame that it's been so long since I've cut out anything so intense my fingers were aching LOL I set off doing a different one last night & it's just as much of a nightmare - still got one more layer of that one to cut actually; I got too tired to concentrate properly & didn't want to chop off anything vital...from me or the image!
Don't get your knickers in a twist; nothing is solved & it makes you walk funny....

That looks lovely - even from the reverse! BTW what was the picture on the front - looks like the main image is framed in fairy lights. I've a load of TBZ sheets to decoupage so I know how fiddly it can be. Non-crafters often don't realise the amount of work put into decoupage.

Rather you than me Welly! I just haven't got the patience for all that cutting out. I hope the recipient appreciates all that work.

    really impressed Welly

Have to admit to a slight change of mind about diecuts though. Sorted through my stash yesterday and actually found some diecuts that I liked and that had been done properly!. So there are good diecuts around. No prizes for guessing though that the good stuff was all from a Dutch company

Welly, I really struggled cutting out all 20 sheets of christmas house mouse. They were intense!! They look amazing when finished but it has put me off ever buying them again

My Mum wanted to split a pack with me, Jeanette. I love the designs but I just couldn't face the cutting out. In the end she bought the stamps instead. Much easier!
