Everything's going to have to stay in RUBS for now!
Sometimes I'm indecisive, other times I just can't make my mind up :mysmilie_515:

Oh budgie some of those cubes are fantastic, especially the travel ones when they are places you have been. Storage was always the thing stopping me buying any.You don't see them around now. Are Judkins still on the go

This is an ingenious idea which is cheap, although i am still drawn to the cc one when they bring it out.

Omg I had one of those waking up in the middle of the night moments with a bing moment. I must have been thinking about this or work in my sleep.

At work in the clinics phlebotomists rack their bloods into a rack which fits 12 patients 5 bloods each so 60 slots each. As are quite naffy because they have to fit they centrifuges but I think they cost around a pound each. Similar to a copic style container but has an extra support at the top to enure the loads don't fall over, which ot me thinking they would be perfect for pen storage

Have put a link below to something similar but you just have to google blood tube rack

    Wow what a great idea

I found this website that will design what you want, one of the pictures ( I think number 14) has racking, just imagine if you could have the test tube holder on its side facing the front, you would need two on each shelf and you could easily put some foam board at the back to stop the pens sliding out. Wow, wonder how much that would cost.

I have just been looking on line at these eg Creat thingies, one site warns they break easy in transit so I do wonder if they can take the visors of daily use taking pens out and putting them back. Maybe they are a bit flimsy

they sell all sorts on ebay. They are very robust. Our phlebs bleed up to 400 paitents a day so these racks get 7 days a week use, go through centrifuging and also autocalivng. After all, if they were not robust, spilt blood can be life threatening.

The things that had the mention of them breaking in transit was for the ceiling things someone has used in an art bin.

I like the idea of the test tube holders and understand they must be robust. Sorry if I caused confusion.
